After the successful sunrise shots in Homigot (호미곶) in Pohang, Jong Young and I decided to check into a motel and stay cool for a few hours. We also had some file and gear maintenance to take care of. That evening, we went back to Pohang for a sunset shot, and then back to Kyungju for some night shooting around the Great Tombs area. Here are some of the results from that night.
Pohang Sunset
Kyungju Night
After the night shooting, we returned to the motel for a good night sleep. We decided to skip the sunrise in the morning and sleep in. Instinctively I woke up at sunrise time and checked out the window and saw nothing but clouds and haze, so we had made a good decision. We discussed our plan for the next couple of days, and decided to make a move out of the Pohang/Kyungju area up to Andong, a traditional city located an hour and a half north, on the way back to Seoul. But, we wanted to make a couple of pit stops. The first was Chungnyong Station (청령역), a very old train station that is out of use now and unfortunately in the process of being torn down.
